Trader Registration & Requirements

How long does Trader Registration take?

Registration is quick and easy. We aim to confirm your space within 5–7 working days after application.

What do I need to trade?

You must have valid public liability insurance and, if selling food, appropriate food safety certification.

What stalls do you accept?

We accept all stalls.

How much is it to have a stall?

Pricing varies depending on event size and location. Details are provided when you apply.

Stall expectations

We expect all traders to have a professional-looking, fully stocked stall and be open for the full event duration.

Stall Setup & Facilities

Are Gazebos Provided?

No, you must provide your own gazebo unless stated otherwise for a specific event.

What size is a pitch?

We provide traditional farmers' market stalls with built-in 8x4 tables. Vendors supplying their own setups typically use a 3m x 3m gazebo or a food truck.

Are Chairs Provided?

No, please bring your own chairs if needed for your stall setup.

Can I bring more than 1 table?

Yes, as long as your entire setup fits within your allocated pitch space.

Is power provided?

Power is not standard. Limited access may be available on request; please check when applying.

Night Markets - Is lighting provided?

No, please bring your own battery-powered or safe lighting solutions for night events.

Event Day Information

I am running a bar, do I need to apply for a TENS?

If you're running an on-sales bar (serving drinks for consumption on-site), you’ll need an on-sales occasional licence. If you’re selling alcohol for off-site consumption, you’ll need a separate off-sales occasional licence.

Can I share a stall with another trader?

Apologies, but unfortunately we’re not able to accommodate stall sharing between traders at this time.

Can I request a certain stall position?

We’re unable to accommodate requests for specific stall positions. All stall placements are allocated by the SHS team and are final.

When can I set up from?

Set-up times will be provided before each event in your trader pack.

What’s the latest I can arrive?

All traders must be set up at least 30 minutes before the market opens to the public.

If I sell out can I leave?

Yes, if you sell out, you’re welcome to leave early — and congratulations in advance, that’s always great to hear!

If I need to cancel what is the procedure?

Notify us as early as possible. Stall fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in your agreement.
